Job summary

A leading fast-food company in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Multi-Unit Manager. This role supports the Multi-Unit Manager by overseeing daily operations of Subway restaurants. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with operating standards, coaching teams, and monitoring sales performance. Ideal candidates should have a Diploma, 3-5 years of multi-unit management experience, and strong leadership skills. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma from any field, Degree is preferred.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in QSR / fast-food multi-unit restaurant management.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and troubleshooting skills.

The Assistant Multi-Unit Manager supports the Multi-Unit Manager in overseeing daily operations of multiple Subway® restaurants within the assigned area. This role ensures compliance with Subway® operating standards, food safety requirements, and company policies while supporting sales growth, cost control, and people development. The position requires strong hands‑on leadership, execution discipline, and the ability to resolve operational issues across multiple outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily operations and ensure compliance with Subway® Operations Manual and local regulations
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor food quality, customer service, cleanliness, safety standards and administrations
  • Coach and support restaurant management & the team
  • Manpower planning, training, and development of restaurant teams
  • Monitor sales performance, food cost, labor cost, cash handling, and inventory management
  • Support implementation of local and national marketing initiatives
  • Identify operational gaps and execute corrective actions
  • Provide regular performance updates to the Multi-Unit Manager
  • Step in to support store operations during shortages, peak periods, or any emergencies
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma from any field, Degree is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and troubleshooting skill
  • Good communication, coaching, and good leadership
