Company Background:

We are representing a fast growing furniture manufacturing company in Port Klang. As the team is expanding, they are looking for Assistant Research & Development Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for new product development and execution of sample of products.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning sample team, following up on work results.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and organizing of all new product samples record system including document record and filling.
  • Leads the department team in quick response to internal or external requests.
  • Provide technical support for market products trouble shooting, i.e. quality issue, consumer complaints, etc.
  • To evaluate, research & develop and improved techniques for control of quality, reliability & safety for new products and existing products.
  • Handle development of product from design to production stages (B.O.M, Technical Drawings, fixtures/jigs)
  • Assess the cost-effectiveness and availability of raw materials for new product development.
  • Maintain and prepare all engineering documents.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Bachelors Degree in relative majors.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in furniture manufacturing, including at least 1 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator or other design program.
  • Candidate must be willing to work on alternate Saturday.
  • Good communication skill in English & Mandarin (Due to business nature).
  • Working Hour: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm) / Alternate Saturday (8:00am - 1:00pm)
