A leading development company in Malaysia seeks an Architect to assist in establishing product briefs and maintaining design standards. The candidate must have a degree in Architecture, LAM Pt II accreditation, and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience. Responsibilities include supporting project teams, overseeing design compliance, and promoting innovative design practices. This role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to manage conflicting demands professionally.
Assist the senior Architect to establish the product and product brief in conjunction with marketing survey information and budgetary allowances.
Establish, maintain and update architectural design guidelines and requirements using best practice / Standards in compliance with the company’s objectives.
Support the Senior Architect and to work closely with consultants to develop the planning and review design submissions for compliance against the design brief and guidelines during the design development stage.
Support the Marketing Team in review of project planning and design related matters during the preparation and presentation of all marketing related materials for a project launch.
In a supporting role to the Project Team, review project plans, details drawings, specifications and material submission to maintain a high level of design co-ordination and quality in accordance to the established time frame.
In a supporting role to the Project Team, perform interim/ milestone site inspection to review the construction and quality of workmanship at site, and provide advice on improvement measures for design implementation and compliance with the approved specification and company’s objectives.
To assist in providing support for in-house related architectural and design work as and when necessary.
To support the Senior Architect to lead in the design review of architectural and urban design projects.
To work closely with design groups and external consultants to support in-house project, marketing and costing teams towards successful project delivery.
To promote good design throughout the company’s development.
To research and make recommendations for new design policies.
To enforce the implementation of approved minimum requirements in design guideline.
To make recommendations for the appointment design consultants and review consultant performance against design and co-ordination matters.
To implement all relevant policies, procedures and work instructions as so defined in the Company’s Quality Management System.
Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time by the superior/management.
