Job summary

A reputable financial services firm in Malaysia is seeking a Corporate Finance professional to manage the Corporate Finance unit. The candidate will execute corporate exercises, provide advisory services, and evaluate financial models. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, strong experience in corporate finance, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. This role requires ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance; experience in managing corporate exercises is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling, valuation, analysis, and accounting.

  • Support and manage the Corporate Finance unit under the Group Finance Department.
  • Provide oversight and advisory services on corporate finance matters.
  • Evaluate detailed financial models and support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes and evaluate transaction structures.
  • Assist in analyzing funding options, including debt and equity.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will support and manage the Corporate Finance unit under the Group Finance Department, including: Executing corporate exercises identified in the Group Annual Business Plan, including Capital Management, Equity Structuring, Valuation Exercises, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
  • Providing oversight and advisory services to Boustead Holdings Berhad and its Group of Companies on corporate finance matters, ensuring compliance with Listing Requirements and the Capital Market Services Act.
  • Evaluating detailed financial models, valuation (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and scenario analysis to support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Coordinating due diligence processes, evaluating transaction structures and impacts, and preparing approval papers.
  • Assisting in analysing funding options including debt, equity, and internal funds.
  • Assessing cost of capital and optimising the Group's capital structure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Professional qualifications (CFA, ACCA) are an advantage.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance within a reputable company. Experience in managing corporate exercises is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling, valuation, analysis and accounting. Transaction management, proficiency in Bursa listing requirement/ SC Capital Market Services Act, due diligence experiences, network with Investment Banks is a plus point.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, resourceful, willing to travel on short notice and able to manage multiple responsibilities without close supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
