Job Purpose

To perform the daily activities of eSPICK Operations, Inward clearing, Outward clearing, Money Order, archiving of Incheqs ICS & Incheqs OCS data/image and Foreign Cheque (FOC) efficiently and effectively ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services to internal and external customers within Service Level Agreement. To ensure that all transactions performed are of high quality and in doing so, protecting the Bank’s interest at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the smooth running of Cheque Processing Centre’s daily operations.
  • Ensure timely process of all tasks within Service Level Agreement and timely submission of reporting to relevant parties.
  • Manage cost budget allocated to Cheque Processing Centre a prudent manner to facilitate the achievement of its objectives by ensuring optimum utilization of available resources, implementation of creative cost-reduction solutions and minimizing wastage.
  • Ensure that control and policies / procedures governing all processes i.e. Operational Procedure Manual etc in the department are in place, implemented and reviewed (as and when necessary) and to ensure that these policies / procedures not only continue to be relevant and effective in mitigating risk, but also supports the need for high operational efficiency and excellent customer service.
  • Ensure Satisfactory Audit Rating and issues raised during Audit are resolved within specific time frame.
  • Ensure all regulatory and statistical Reporting / Returns are submitted within deadlines.
  • Manage and supervise to ensure timely balancing / processing of Inward Clearing Cheques / Outward Clearing Cheques / ICR / OCR to meet eSPICK cut-off time, MO, Pension, ESS and other related clearing functions.
  • Ensure all cheques for outward clearing are promptly archived, labeled and proper controls are in place for easy retrieval.
  • To check and monitor on staff discipline and to ensure the unit has an orderly working environment.
  • To ensure staff are given proper training to enhance their skill in carrying out their job function.
  • Support the maintenance of an up-to-date Operational Procedure Manuals for CPC.
  • Ensure proper internal control and efficiency is maintained and that subordinates discharge their duties in accordance with established procedures to prevent losses.
  • Adhere to Code of Ethics policy and Discipline issued by Group People Office, manage subordinate’s Leave and ensure Block Leave is complied.
  • Support the recovery of Cheque Processing Centre as stipulated in BCP, should any disruption take place.
  • Execute ad-hoc task when required.
Skills/Knowledge
  • Bachelor's Degree / Professional qualification in any discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years in Banking Industry or related field.
  • Must have good analytical, interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written Bahasa & English communication.
