Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager – NVOCC to lead business development, client management, and operational activities for our ocean freight and NVOCC services in Malaysia. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and sales acumen. The candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring smooth execution of shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Client Management:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Malaysia, targeting exporters, importers, and freight forwarders
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts to maximize revenue
Negotiate competitive freight rates, service contracts, and agreements with clients and overseas partners
Requirements:
4–5 years of experience in NVOCC, shipping line, or freight forwarding
Strong knowledge of ocean freight operations, documentation, and trade lanes
Proven experience in business development, account management, and customer relations
Experience in team supervision or project leadership
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
