Job summary

You will oversee foreign worker payroll accuracy and compliance, act as a liaison with agencies, and assist in developing competitive compensation frameworks. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR or related fields and at least 5 years of HR experience, with strong analytical skills. The position is based in Solaris Mont Kiara and requires own transportation.

Qualifications

  • Manage benefits programs and provide employee support.
  • Develop performance management systems and KPIs.
  • Analyze performance data to identify training needs.
  • Lead Performance Improvement Plan process for underperforming staff.

As our company enters a phase of rapid expansion, we are looking for a dynamic and meticulous HR Assistant Manager to join our growing HR team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our HR operations remain robust as we scale. You will provide critical support across Foreign Worker Management, Compensation & Benefits, and Performance Management, acting as a bridge between operational execution and strategic planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Oversight: Serve as the primary reviewer and checker for all foreign worker payroll, ensuring 100% accuracy, statutory compliance, and timely disbursement.

Agency Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for foreign worker agencies, managing service level agreements (SLAs) and ensuring all contracts of service are up to standard.

Contract Governance: Rigorously review agency agreements and labor contracts before final approval to mitigate legal and financial risks.

Policy Development: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of competitive C&B frameworks that align with market trends and company growth.

Program Administration: Manage the roll‑out of benefits programs and act as a subject matter expert for employee inquiries regarding eligibility and claims.

Market Benchmarking: Periodically review salary structures to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.

Performance & Talent Management

Framework Design: Develop and refine performance management systems, including the definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), core competencies, and technical skill maps.

Data Analytics: Analyze performance data to identify talent gaps, training needs, and high‑potential employees for succession planning.

Performance Intervention: Lead the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) process for underperforming staff, providing professional coaching, counseling, and documentation support.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or senior capacity.

In-depth knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations practices, and current regulations regarding foreign worker management.

High proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for payroll/data analysis) and experience with HRMS platforms.

Strong analytical thinking, excellent interpersonal communication, and the ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with high integrity.

Willing to work in Solaris Mont Kiara and possesses own transportation.
