Market surveillance and analyze the compliance level of Licensees under the Telecommunications Sector, to ensure the protection of consumers and ensure that Service Providers deal with consumers as per Section 188 of CMA98 and General Consumer Code (GCC), assist in monitoring the compliance of key regulatory instruments such as Prepaid and postpaid Registration Guidelines and MS for Quality of Service. Conduct nationwide audits, facilitate Dealer and Agent performance, and ensure accurate data entry for the National Registration Department, and to nurture relationship between agencies and external collaboration as and when required. In ensuring the long-term benefits of end users, MCMC is also responsible to promote industry responsiveness to consumer requirements, improve consumer confidence in service quality, choices, and affordability of services.
Job Responsibilities
- To perform secretarial and administrative work including management of incoming & outgoing correspondence, ensure proper recording, documentation and distribution of memo, letters etc;
- Compile and update the status of action taken on the correspondences and submit them to the Head Division secretary on a weekly basis;
- Update the Head of Department (HOD) and departmental staff calendars, manage appointments, and provide support in coordinating meetings with external telecommunications providers and government agencies;
- Assist in prepaid and postpaid registration data verification corresponding, reporting and documentation as well as liaising with Network Security Department for cloud storage for data uploads from SPs;
- Assist in Complaint handling issues, particularly related to IMEI Operation, check status of IMEI and process request for blocking of IMEI by liaising with telcos;
- Assist in the audit process of data submitted for verification processes in the prepaid registration;
- Assist in the operational matters of industry capacity building and development by coordinating and organising engagement programmes for internal and external stakeholders. Key initiatives include various state-level campaigns and other strategic outreach activities;
- Handle petty cash claims for departmental usage and keep track of the records, receipts etc;
- Assist in arranging flight and hotel accommodation and follow up with Finance Division, International Affairs Division and Procurement Division on the status of flight and hotel
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in any course or other related qualification from reputable university;
- Minimum experience in any field. Have passion and interest in administration job
