A well-known interior design and architectural firm is now seeking for Assistant Design Manager. This role involves lead and manages the design team to deliver innovative, client-aligned interior solutions while coordinating across project teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the design team to deliver innovative, functional, and brand-aligned interior solutions across multiple projects.
  • Ensure design quality, compliance, and coordination with project managers, consultants, and authorities throughout all project phases.
  • Manage client relationships from briefing to handover, presenting proposals and incorporating feedback to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain high documentation standards while staying updated on design trends, materials, and sustainable practices.
  • Allocate resources, support team development, and collaborate on workflow improvements and ad hoc tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field with 6–10 years of experience, especially in commercial, workplace, or retail projects.
  • Strong in design detailing, technical drawings, and fit-out processes; proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Revit, and MS Office.
  • Proven ability to manage full design lifecycles and lead teams effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Familiar with Malaysian building codes, authority submissions, and project coordination practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; Mandarin or other language proficiency is a plus for client engagement.
