Overview
The Assistant Accounts Manager will oversee the full set of accounts, General Ledger (GL) and financial reporting for Singapore, Malaysia and other future overseas offices. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide financial insights for decision-making, and support the company's business. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple responsibilities effectively. The Assistant Accounts Manager will report to the Finance Manager. This position can work hybrid and expect travel to Singapore office for face-to-face meeting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with company objectives
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements at group and company level
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide regular reports and presentations to senior management
- Handle the full set of accounts including data entry for Account Receivable, Account Payable, General Ledger, Trial Balance, maintaining respective schedules, reconciliations. Manage statutory and grant audit, tax filing, ERP system enhancement.
- Manage GST/SST calculations and submission, e-invoicing management in Malaysia.
- Establish and implement effective internal controls to mitigate financial risks and protect company assets.
- Monitoring and reporting on financial performance of projects and company by producing and presenting accurate financial reports to specific deadlines. Oversee the finance team and ensure timely closure of the monthly accounts.
- Forecast and manage cash flow to ensure adequate funds for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Provide support for banking and treasury activities related to concerned entities as necessary.
- Support the Finance Manager in financial activities and projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in Finance / Accounting.
- At least 3 to 5 years of working experience, preferably in tech industry.
- Have experience handling Singapore Accounts/Entities.
- Have experience handling different level of stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of internal controls and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, including annual budget, monthly forecast and periodic business reviews.
- Independent/ Self Starter with high attention to detail.
- Willing to travel to Singapore office for work purpose occasionally.
