The role of Area Network Manager involves overseeing and managing operations within a specific geographic area or region. Area Managers play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of parcels and packages, as well as maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the courier services drop point/collection point/outlet within the designated area.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of drivers, couriers, and support staff; provide leadership, guidance, and support to maintain a motivated and efficient workforce.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and reduce delivery times; make real-time adjustments as needed.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time deliveries, delivery accuracy, customer satisfaction, and operational costs; take corrective actions to address any performance issues.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints; implement strategies to enhance the customer experience and maintain strong relationships.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; supervise and coach staff on the code of conduct and all rules & regulations set by the company (e.g., overnight parcel arrangement, fake POD).
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance and other relevant data for senior management; provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
- At least 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related industry; previous managerial or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams, customers, and management.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- 6 days work per week: Monday to Saturday (full day).
