Job summary

A leading construction firm in Johor, Malaysia seeks a Site Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The successful candidate will manage the labor force, coordinate tasks with stakeholders, and prepare site documentation. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field along with at least 2 years of relevant experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Malaysian construction standards are essential.

Qualifications

  • Possess at least an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; prior experience in high-rise building projects is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Malaysia's construction standards.

Job description

Manage daily site operations, including supervising the site labor force and subcontractors, while ensuring compliance with construction safety regulations.

Ensure all materials and work adhere to project specifications and drawings.

Execute site tasks efficiently to meet agreed deadlines.

Prepare, update, and monitor site documentation and reports.

Review and interpret construction and shop drawings.

Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, quantity surveyors, and the project workforce.

Communicate effectively with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings.

Analyze blueprints to ensure alignment with design, safety, and budget specifications.

Suggest improvements to construction operations and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Assist with additional tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
