Job description

Salam'alaykum! We are seeking a skilled and analytical Arabic Linguist / Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses not only strong translation abilities but also a solid understanding of language structure and linguistics. This role includes reviewing and cross-checking translations using reliable linguistic sources to ensure the contextual and grammatical accuracy. The position involves working on general content as well as materials derived from Quranic vocabulary, so familiarity with Quranic or classical Arabic will be beneficial. A background or keen interest in linguistics, contrastive analysis, or translation studies is highly advantageous.

Check and review Arabic–English translations to make sure they’re accurate and sound natural.

Use reliable sources and your linguistic know-how to ensure everything fits the right context.

Translate various types of content from general materials to texts with Quranic or classical Arabic terms.

Work with other team members and external language experts when needed.

Help with research, brainstorming, and content ideas.

Make sure all tasks are done on time and meet our quality standards.

✅Who We’re Looking For

A degree or diploma in Arabic, Linguistics, Translation, Communication, or a related field.

Strong command of Arabic, English, and Malay (both written and spoken).

Good understanding of translation principles and how languages differ (contrastive analysis).

At least 1 year of experience in translation, editing, or similar work — fresh grads are welcome too!

Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to handle multiple tasks well.

A good communicator and team player.

Must be able to work in Shah Alam.

Knowledge of Quranic or classical Arabic.

Experience in linguistic or translation research.
