A leading technical solutions provider in Malaysia is seeking an Application Engineer (Technical Support) to provide expert pre and post-sales technical support for their Component Test products. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and be proficient in both English and Mandarin, with at least 8 years of experience in test and measurement instrumentation. Competitive remuneration of MYR 7,500 - MYR 12,000 is offered.

About the job Application Engineer (Technical Support)

Responsibilities

  • As an expert of the client's Component Test products or solution, provides responsive and in-depth pre and post-sales technical support including measurement, application, configuration etc. Application includes active/passive component test, compliance test and impedance analysis etc.
  • Understands customer's problems and efficiently resolves the technical inquiry via remote channels like phone, email, portal etc.
  • Research on solution by replicating customer's issue in lab, proactively works with R&D by providing customer insights etc.
  • Delivers technical expertise via a remote channel for solution implementation and start-up assistance to the customer based on Client's Test and Measurement products and services.
  • Qualify and refer hardware, software and services sales opportunities to the right Sales teams.
  • Contribute technical articles to the Client's Knowledge Base.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is essential due to the need to support the Greater China business.
  • Bachelors/Master/Dr. Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Typically, 8+ Year Experience in using Test & Measurement instrumentation for Component Test. e.g. Vector Network Analyzer, PLTS, impedance tester, etc. Well understand on microwave component test, compliance test, impedance analysis, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people. And be able to discuss and explain complex issues remotely.
  • Possess a customer-first mindset with the passion to serve customers.
  • Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in job and ability to work independently.
  • Be able to handle multi-task and work under pressure.
