About the Role

As an Application Engineer, you will provide engineering consulting and technical support to sales and customers by addressing product inquiries, investigating field performance issues, conducting employee training, serving as an internal product resource, collaborating with global teams, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

• Address direct customer inquiries regarding Victaulic product features, benefits and applications.
• Make joint calls with sales personnel to customer's facilities to address technical inquiries and seminars whenever appropriate.
• Investigate product performance issues at field installations and with returned materials.
• Conduct training sessions with new Victaulic employees to educate them on the features and benefits of our products and services.
• Serve as an internal resource on product issues, representing the customer’s needs.
• Communicate with Victaulic China or US team frequently and provide product performance feedback.
• Continually update personal knowledge of Victaulic products, competitive products, and relevant markets.
• Provide assistance in local product regulatory matters.
• Perform additional related projects as assigned by the Manager of Application Engineering.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Proven experience in a similar Application Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, System Designer role.
• Previous industrial experience from mining, fire protection, or HVAC market is highly desirable.
• Membership in a national standards or code committee (or equivalent organization) is an advantage, e.g., IEM, IES.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related major.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong self-motivation and desire to excel.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Willingness to travel overseas, including but not limited to Asia, Oceania, and America.
