A leading global chemical distribution company is seeking an Analyst for Master Data Management in Selangor, Malaysia. The successful candidate will manage and oversee data quality for materials, vendors, and customers while ensuring compliance with corporate policies. Key responsibilities include maintaining SAP Master Data, assisting in data migration, and providing user support. A Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of SAP or ERP experience are required. Mandarin language skills will be a significant advantage for this role.
The incumbent acts as the data gate keeper for Master Data Management (MDM), accountable for managing, overseeing and controlling data quality. He/she will be responsible for creating,
updating, verifying and cleaning up master data for materials, vendors and customers timely and
accurately whilst ensuring compliance with corporate policies and business processes.
Maintaining SAP Master Data (covering Material, Vendor and Customer) based on the request submitted from requestors from Asia Pacific.
All data maintenance tasks are to be performed on a timely basis based on defined service levels.
Assisting in data migration activities for importing legacy data into SAP in SAP template rollout projects.
Evaluating/monitoring data quality in SAP system, and drive cleansing activities to align with Master Data guidelines.
Identifying continuous improvement on the master data processes, make recommendations that optimize business processes and improve other internal controls.
Provide ongoing user support and training on master data forms and workflow to ensure
master data is maintained accurately in SAP.
Maintain up-to-date process documents and work instructions for the role.
Assisting Master Data Manager in special tasks/projects, such as acquisition integration.
Bachelor Degree in relevant field (Accounting, Business, Administration or equivalent)
At least 1 year proven working experience in SAP or other reputable ERP systems; good knowledge in supply chain/accounting and its processes; experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Industry or shared services experience is an added advantage.
Mandarin is preferred, as the role supports both our China and Taiwan entities.
