Job description
What will you be doing?

We are looking for a motivated Installation Analysis Engineer to join our team at our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our Pipeline Analysis Engineers are well-regarded for their skills in evaluating the entire installation process, from preparing and delivering installation analyses to overseeing offshore operations until completion. You will either be a part of a team of installation analysis project engineers, dealing with rigid pipeline installation analysis in project, FEED or tender.

Responsibilities
  • Performs detailed feasibility studies and installation analyses, considering all associated risk and ensuring that all safety rules are considered for various operations such as pipe laying, riser installation, pipeline structure in line installation.
  • Determines and optimises operations installation steps, laying methods determination (S-Lay, J-Lay, reeling).
  • Interfaces with associated subsea related disciplines and understands the interfaces within a project environment.
  • Provides engineering support during operations with occasional periods offshore.
  • Ensures all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.
  • Contributes to the knowledge consolidation within the PG department.
  • Proposes innovative solutions allowing cost & risk reduction.
What experience would we like you to have?
  • Previous experience within an Analysis Engineer or similar position.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis methods.
  • Demonstrable familiarity with relevant software such as Orcaflex, Abaqus, Python, VBA, etc.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and is comfortable managing tasks efficiently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good report writing skills with the ability to self‑check and produce accurate work, as well as the ability to prioritise and organise your work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management.
  • This role may involve short spells of overseas travel so candidates may need to show a willingness and flexibility.
