Job description

As an AI Engineer at V-Work Sdn. Bhd. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for building and deploying AI solutions for both in-house and external products. You will work closely with product managers, consultants, and technical team members. The role focuses on designing and developing AI applications, while collaborating with other specialists who handle testing, deployment, and support. You will not be expected to work alone; instead, you will contribute as part of a team, with clear boundaries on responsibilities and escalation paths.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build end-to-end LLM and ML solutions (e.g., chat/agent experiences, RAG pipelines, workflow automation) from discovery and data preparation to deployment and monitoring.
2. You will receive requirements from product managers or consultants and are not expected to define business problems independently.
3. Assign development tasks, including the creation of corresponding unit tests, to junior engineers or team members as appropriate.
4. Clarify business challenges with stakeholders and translate them into actionable AI solutions with measurable outcomes.
5. Write clear design specifications and documentation as part of your regular responsibilities.
6. Participate in design and code reviews.
7. Contribute to shared components, templates, and internal best practices.
8. Ensure deployed AI systems meet security and reliability standards, such as ISMS compliance or passing penetration tests, as defined by the organization.
9. Stay updated with trends and advancements in AI technologies relevant to the company’s focus areas.

Job Requirements

• Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and responsible AI principles.
• Demonstrated experience (minimum 1 year) in designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Hands‑on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud) as well as practical experience with leading AI platforms or products (such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Vertex AI, Amazon SageMaker, Microsoft Azure AI, Cursor, Streamlit, or similar), including integration with enterprise infrastructure.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of networking, security, and data management considerations for multi‑environment deployments.
• Ability to clarify requirements and propose operational boundaries, ensuring work is performed in a well‑defined, non‑ambiguous environment.
