A telecommunications company is searching for an Activation Executive based in Ipoh, Perak. This role includes driving sales through compliance monitoring and conducting audits of Promoters to ensure performance standards are met. Candidates should have at least an SPM qualification, with a diploma or degree in relevant fields being preferred. Experience in sales and effective communication skills are essential. Strong leadership and coaching abilities will be valued in supporting the team.
The Activation Executive serve as frontline enforcers in their assigned states/regions, driving Promoters to achieve sales targets while ensuring full compliance with in-field execution standards.
Ensure Promoters sell effectively to hit the monthly sales target, as Executive are accountable for regional sales outcomes.
Conduct frequent on-ground audits of Promoters as per the targets assigned by Partner Management Lead.
Validate Promoters compliance with operational fundamentals: grooming, punctuality, presence, registration SOPs, and SFA check-ins.
Ensure stock and POSM sufficiency during roving activities and portable booths activities.
Implement HQ strategy while adapting to region-specific challenges (e.g., local events, distributor constraints, geography exploration etc.).
Collaborate with distributor project manager and supervisors to ensure smooth execution of Promoters activities.
Recommend improvements or corrective actions specific to the region.
Audit retail outlets as when required.
Source for potential partners.
Provide weekly reports on audit findings, regional gaps, and Promoters performance trends.
Share clear and practical on-ground insights (e.g., Promoters morale, customer response, execution challenges, competitors’ activities) to help management adjust strategy and make informed decisions.
Offer feedback on distributor readiness, stock movement, and POSM usage.
Support regional classroom or online training when required (delivered jointly with Central).
Reinforce product knowledge, SOP awareness, and compliance expectations during visits.
Detect and immediately flag non-compliance practices (e.g., incorrect registrations SOPs, abnormal volumes).
Document all issues in the regional issue log, ensuring escalation to Lead and Central Account Manager when necessary.
Track repeated offenders or recurring issues for corrective action.
Minimum SPM qualification. Diploma or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or related field are strongly encouraged to apply.
2 – 4 years’ experience in sales, trade marketing, retail operations, or field auditing.
Able to travel frequently, and manage ad-hoc assignments.
Exposure to working with promoters or distributor-led sales team is an advantage.
Knowledge of sales fundamentals, merchandising, and retail execution standards.
Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
Skilled in compiling sales numbers and preparing reports.
Communication skill: able to engage Promoters, distributor supervisors, and collaborate with Account Manager effectively.
Coaching ability: comfortable reinforcing product knowledge and SOP awareness during field visits.
Upholds professionalism and accountability in compliance monitoring.
Strong leadership abilities with people management experience to lead promoters and driving performance.
