Job summary

A leading provider of heavy-duty power solutions is seeking an Accounts Assistant (Accounts Receivable) to join its Finance team in Penang, Malaysia. This role includes preparing invoices, recording payments, and managing accounts receivable to ensure accurate billing and timely collections. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Good communication skills, especially with customers on billing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
  • Record customer payments and update AR aging.
  • Follow up with customers on outstanding payments.
  • Handle billing enquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform monthly AR reconciliation and assist in month-end closing.
