A financial services company in Malaysia seeks an experienced accountant to maintain and reconcile ledger accounts. Key responsibilities include preparing journal entries, assisting in closing processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Collaborate with other accounting and finance team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
