Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage the company's accounts, ensuring compliance with statutory and tax requirements. The successful candidate will prepare financial statements, manage daily accounting tasks, and monitor cash flow. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA or CIMA certification, and at least 5 years of relevant experience are essential. Candidates must be proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent analytical and organizational skills, and experience in accounting software.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Independent and ability to develop strong working relationships.

Job description

Manage the company’s accounts according to the statutory and tax requirements including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, SST and other applicable regulatory submissions in Malaysia.

Prepared full set of financial statements and monthly management reports.

Manage the daily accounting works and month end closing.

Monitor and manage the Company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operational requirements.

Prepare balance sheet items reconciliations.

Monitor on sales collection.

Manage suppliers by reviewing, verifying, approving invoices and also ensuring timely payment according to agreed credit terms.

Perform such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by the Company from time to time in conjunction with the finance and accounting functions.

Work Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Professional Certification in ACCA or CIMA.

Candidate must a MIA/ACCA member.

At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia required; Mandarin is an advantage.

Excellent analytical mind, problem solving and organizational skills.

Independent and the ability to develop strong working relationships.

Excellent in accounting software (especially inAutocount) and microsoft software (Microsoft Words, Excel).
