The Accounts & Finance Manager leads the financial operations of Stuff’d Malaysia, ensuring strong accounting discipline, full statutory compliance, and effective financial stewardship.

Beyond managing the books, this role partners closely with management to drive performance, control costs, and strengthen profitability across all outlets.

The position offers flexibility, ownership, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing F&B business.

Key Responsibilities

FINANCE, BOOKKEEPING & COMPLIANCE

  • Manage the full set of accounts and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
  • Prepare and review Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and align with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
  • Maintain a structured chart of accounts and consistent store-level reporting.
  • Submit timely financial reports to HQ and support consolidation.
  • Drive process automation and digitalization to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Statutory Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure full compliance with taxation (SST, corporate tax), MFRS, and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary for audit, filing, and statutory submissions.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and SOPs.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to identify control gaps and mitigate financial risks.
  • Keep abreast of new accounting or regulatory developments impacting the F&B sector.

Payroll & HR Cost Administration

  • Supervise monthly payroll processing in coordination with HR.
  • Ensure timely payment and compliance for EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB contributions.
  • Reconcile payroll expenses and allocate costs accurately by outlet or department.
  • Analyze manpower cost ratios versus sales targets and assist in workforce planning.

Treasury & Cash Administration

  • Oversee daily cash management, collections, payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage petty cash and store-level cash handling SOPs.
  • Ensure proper authorization controls for payments and expense claims.
  • Safeguard company assets and maintain adequate working capital buffers.
Commercial & Strategic Business Support

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting exercises in collaboration with Operations and HQ.
  • Consolidate store-level and functional inputs into accurate financial plans.
  • Track budget vs. actual results and highlight key variances.
  • Support AOP (Annual Operating Plan) presentations with clear financial insights.
  • Anticipate future regulatory or cost changes and recommend proactive adjustments.

Cost Management & Profitability Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze food, labour, and operating costs across outlets.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to manage inventory, wastage, and food cost variances.
  • Review supplier pricing and identify efficiency or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct margin analysis, menu pricing evaluation, and ROI assessments for promotions or campaigns.
  • Provide clear insights to improve outlet profitability and optimize cost structures.

Cash Flow & Business Performance Support

  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and scenario analyses to ensure liquidity and support expansion.
  • Advise management on capital planning, investment feasibility, and funding requirements.
  • Present financial dashboards highlighting key operational KPIs (sales, margin, cash conversion).
  • Support decision-making on new store openings, refurbishments, or business initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner — balancing financial discipline with commercial agility.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian taxation, SST, and MFRS.
