A dynamic accounting firm in Malaysia is seeking an Account Executive to manage client accounts and prepare financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant accounting qualification and have 1-5 years of experience. Handle a full set of accounts for assigned clients and ensure timely monthly and yearly closing.
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and other required documentation for clients.
Liaise directly with clients, auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities to ensure compliance and smooth communication.
Review and guide junior team members in bookkeeping and reporting tasks.
Respond professionally to client queries, feedback, and accounting-related issues.
Support management in improving accounting processes and maintaining strong client relationships.
Manage the company’s full set of accounts, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
Ensure timely monthly and annual closing and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare internal financial reports to support management’s decision-making and cash flow planning.
Review and verify accounting entries prepared by junior team members.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and banks on company financial matters.
Assist management in implementing process improvements, cost control initiatives, and team supervision.
Possess a full or partial professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent), or a Degree in Accountancy / Finance or equivalent.
Minimum 1-5 years of relevant working experience in accounting or audit, preferably in an accounting firm.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and procedures.
Skilled in using accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred, as the role may involve communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
