Job summary

A logistics and accounting firm in Selangor is looking for an experienced accountant to manage accounts payable and receivable. You will process payments and invoices, perform bank reconciliations, and assist with various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience, be proficient in Excel, and have excellent communication skills. Forwarding/shipping knowledge is a plus. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years accounting experience in a similar role is required.
  • Forwarding / Shipping knowledge and experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Data processing for Accounts Payable and management of debtors/creditors.
  • Posting supplier invoices and processing payments in accordance with procedures.
  • Liaising with clients for outstanding invoices.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation including credit card.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Data processing for Accounts Payable / Account Receivable, and management of debtors/creditors
  • Accounts Payable – posting supplier invoices with AI or manually and processing payment (AUD, USD and other foreign currencies) in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with established procedures
  • Account Receivable – posting payment received (AUD and USD) in a timely and accurate manner; liaise with clients for outstanding invoices
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation including credit card
  • Perform reconciliation of suppliers’ statements
  • Assist with end of month duties
  • Assist with all accounting and administrative functions as assigned
  • Assist with ad‑hoc jobs as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years accounting experience in a similar role is required
  • Forwarding / Shipping knowledge and experience is an advantage
  • Previous experience using computerized accounting systems and spreadsheets is required; experience in Cargowise is an advantage
  • Intermediate skill in Excel is a must; advance skill is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time with minimal supervision, effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Willing to accept new challenges / jobs assigned
  • Proficient in English; fluent in English speaking is a must
