The Role: Accounting & Finance Executive (Remote)

We are hiring a detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Executive (Remote) to manage full set accounts, payroll processing, and monthly financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is strong in bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, and financial controls, and who understands how numbers must align with statutory requirements and internal policies.

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely payroll payouts, and proper monthly closings, supporting management with clear and reliable financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  1. 1) Full Set Accounts & Bookkeeping
    • Handle full set of accounts, including:
      • General Ledger (GL)
      • Accounts Payable (AP)
      • Accounts Receivable (AR)
      • Bank & credit card reconciliation
    • Perform monthly closing and ensure balances are accurate and complete
    • Maintain proper accounting records for audit and reporting purposes
    • Ensure all transactions are recorded with correct categorization and supporting documents
    • Maintain organized financial folders and documentation
  2. 2) Payroll Processing & Payout Management
    • Handle monthly payroll processing for employees and contractors
    • Ensure payroll accuracy based on:
      • Salary structure
      • Working days / hours
      • Overtime, bonuses, commissions (if applicable)
      • Unpaid leave, adjustments, and deductions
    • Prepare payroll summaries, payout schedules, and reconciliation sheets
    • Coordinate payroll payment execution and ensure on-time payouts
    • Maintain accurate payroll records for reporting and compliance
  3. 3) Payroll & Financial Compliance
    • Ensure payroll and accounting processes comply with:
      • Government employment and payroll regulations
      • Statutory contributions and deductions (where applicable)
    • Handle payroll calculations for:
      • New hires
      • Resignations / terminations
      • Final payouts and adjustments
    • Support audit preparation and financial reviews
    • Assist in improving payroll and accounting SOPs to reduce errors and risks
  4. 4) Budgeting, Expense Tracking & Financial Analysis
    • Track monthly expenses and team costs
    • Monitor payroll cost trends and budget utilization
    • Assist in preparing:
      • Monthly financial summaries
      • Cost analysis reports
      • Budget vs actual comparisons
    • Support basic financial planning and cash flow tracking
    • Flag anomalies, discrepancies, or risks proactively
  5. 5) Invoicing & Internal Financial Coordination
    • Track invoices, payments, and outstanding balances
    • Support basic billing and internal reconciliation
    • Ensure accurate documentation for all financial transactions
    • Coordinate closely with management on finance-related matters
Requirements (Must Have)
  • Strong experience handling full set accounts

  • Solid understanding of payroll processing and monthly payouts

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls

  • High attention to detail (accuracy is non-negotiable)

  • Able to work independently and manage deadlines remotely

  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills

  • High integrity when handling confidential financial data

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Experience in agency, SME, or fast-growing business environment
  • Familiar with payroll systems and accounting tools
  • Experience with remote teams and multi-payment structures
  • Basic knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis
  • Experience improving accounting or payroll SOPs
