A leading firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Accountant to prepare full sets of accounts and management reports while ensuring compliance with financial standards. The ideal candidate should have an ACCA qualification and over 10 years of relevant working experience, along with strong proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. This role offers a friendly working environment with a focus on work-life balance, positioned within flexible hours from 10am to 6pm, five days a week.

Preparation of full set of accounts including monthly management report with analysis report, required schedules, bank reconciliation and inter-company reconciliation for the group of companies
Responsible for daily accounting duties and ensuring accounting records and systems comply with company’s policies and accounting standard procedures or related statutory and tax requirements for the Group
To prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecast for management planning for the Group as and when required
To develop and implement policies, procedures and internal control, ensuring control systems are followed and function effectively.
Daily operations of the Accounting Department, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger.
Responsible for checking and validating the journal/ general ledger entries and ensuring all accounting records are properly updated and reconciled.
To ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, financial policies and procedures.
To monitoring stock / inventory management according to company’s set standard and policy.
To prepare yearly financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
To perform product costing analysis
Able to do tax planning for the group of companies as and when required
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and bankers.
Ensure completeness of documentation for statutory compliance e.g., Taxes and Audits.
Provision of information and documents required to the external auditors.
Prepare monthly payroll duties including pay slips and payroll records to monitor employees’ attendance, leave, overtime and time off, and lateness.
Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
General administration, business operations support and other ad-hoc assignment may be prescribed by the superior from time to time.
ACCA qualification is mandatory
Required skill(s): English & Bahasa Malaysia
At least 10 years and above of working experience
Computer literate and familiarity with SQL Accounting System
Able to work independently, a proven team player, action oriented, meticulous, detail oriented and able to handle multi tasks
