A global technology leader is seeking a Sales Professional to promote its Electrification Distribution Solutions within the Data Center segment in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will manage large-scale projects and build relationships with engineers and developers. A minimum of 5-8 years in technical sales and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field are required. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting sales of ABB Electrification Distribution Solutions within the Data Center segment in line with the ELDS division strategy. You will meet qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will identify and develop new sales opportunities across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center projects while managing complex stakeholder environments.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Managing large-scale and hyperscale data center projects from early design and specification stage through tender submission, award, and execution, ensuring disciplined opportunity tracking and forecasting.
Building and maintaining relationships with consulting engineers, design houses, EPCs, developers, and end users to align specifications and secure ABB solutions as preferred or approved standards.
Coordinating and preparing high-quality tender submissions, including technical clarifications, compliance documentation, commercial alignment, and internal cross-functional coordination.
Communicating clearly with customers on delivery timelines, payment terms, contractual conditions, and project progress, while supporting cash collection, risk reviews, and project handover where required.
This role is contributing toElectrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) business in Malaysia.
Main stakeholders include Data Center end users (hyperscalers and colocation operators), consulting engineers, EPCs, panel builders, internal Product Marketing, Tendering, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Service teams.
You will join a highly productive, performance-driven, and collaborative ELDS team, working across segments and functions to deliver strategic growth in one of ABB’s fastest-growing markets.
You have extensive experience in the Data Center, critical infrastructure, electrical, or power distribution market, with exposure to complex, consultant-led and project-based sales environments.
You bring a minimum of 5–8 years of experience in technical sales, key account management, or project sales involving large-scale or hyperscale projects.
You have established skills in managing long sales cycles, tendering processes, documentation preparation, and multi-stakeholder coordination across internal and external teams.
You are highly adept in CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), sales forecasting, pipeline management, and structured reporting of project progress and risks.
You demonstrate adept commercial acumen, with experience in pricing strategy, margin management, contract terms, and risk assessment aligned with governance processes.
You are motivated, structured, and customer-focused, with the ability to work effectively in a team while collaborating across functions.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, and are fluent in English
