The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, ACCA/CPA preferred, and a minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include preparing financial reports, developing budgets, and providing leadership to the finance team.

Job description

Accounts Manager – responsible for oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, strategy development and team leadership within the finance department.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to management and the board of directors.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts and provide guidance to support the organization’s growth and objectives.
  • Design and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development to finance team members.
  • Liaise with external parties including auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers and company secretaries.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for finance and accounting documentation/records workflow within the department, with other units and relevant external parties to ensure efficiency.
  • Manage daily accounting activities and transactions – invoice processing, payment vouchers, petty cash reimbursement, staff claims and bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare budget and projections, journal entries, and process and post accounting entries.
  • Compute salaries and commissions.
  • Assist with other ad‑hoc duties as assigned by superior or Head of Department.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; ACCA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of working experience in a related field.
  • At least3 years of audit experience or supervisory experience in a lead role.
  • Experience in finance within the trading or manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, problem‑solving, troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Solid accounting & internal control skills and tax knowledge.
  • Proficient in computerised accounting systems and experienced with Excel and SQL accounting systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
