Job summary

A reputable architecture firm in Malaysia is seeking an Account Executive to manage day-to-day financial transactions and prepare financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include overseeing accounts, ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax regulations, and working independently. This position offers a salary range of RM4,500 to RM5,500 with benefits including medical AIA insurance and a standard workweek from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents during audits.
  • Oversee SST submissions and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations.

We are looking for an Account Executive who will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures. This role does not include audit responsibilities but requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work independently in a creative, fast‑paced environment.

Position : Account Executive
Status : 6 months’ probation period under PERSOL. Will be converted under permanent upon successful probation.
Location : Jalan Ekoperniagaan, Persiaran SAC Senai.

Working Days : Monday - Friday
Working Hours : 9am - 6pm (1 hour lunch break)
Salary : RM4,500 - RM5,500

Responsibilities
Full Set of Accounts & Financial Reporting
  • Handle full set of accounts including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management reports: P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
  • Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end closing
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents during audits
  • All need to report to director
  • Oversee all SST submissions and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations
  • Keep updated with LHDN’s e‑Invoice rollout and ensure internal systems/processes are aligned with implementation timelines
  • Generate e‑Invoices and ensure proper records are maintained
  • Act as the primary liaison with LHDN and customs for e‑Invoice and SST matters
Client & Consultant Communication (via Email / WhatsApp)
  • Follow up with clients on outstanding payments monthly via email and WhatsApp
  • Review and respond to consultants’ invoices to verify accuracy before approval
  • Send payment remittance advice to consultants and suppliers after processing
  • Draft or assist in preparing agreements/contracts for suppliers, consultants, or collaborators under the direction of the Director
  • Handle all correspondences and clarifications required by government bodies (e.g., LHDN, SSM, Kastam)
  • Coordinate with audit firms and respond to financial/tax‑related queries
  • Ensure the company remains fully compliant with statutory requirements
  • Work closely with management to prepare annual budgets and forecasts
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations on how to optimise fund utilisation
  • Analyse financial trends to support business growth and cost control initiatives
  • Prepare internal financial analysis reports to aid decision‑making
Payroll & Statutory Contributions
  • Review and process payroll data (OT, allowances, reimbursements, etc.)
  • Submit monthly contributions: EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB
  • Ensure accuracy in payroll‑related documentation and reconciliation
Qualifications
