Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA) is an added advantage.
Working Experience
Minimum 3–5 years working experience in accounting.
Strong preference for candidates with experience in:
- Construction / Interior Design / Contracting companies.
- Full set of accounts independently.
- LHDN & tax computation is mandatory.

Responsibilities
- Accounting & Finance (Full Set of Accounts)
- Handle full set of accounts including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliation, Fixed Assets & Depreciation.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and cash flow reports.
- Ensure accurate recording of all construction-related transactions: Project cost, Progress billing, Retention sum, Variation orders (VO).
- Monitor cash flow and advise management on payment planning.
- Construction Accounting & Cost Control
- Maintain proper accounting for project-based costing.
- Track and reconcile project expenses, subcontractor claims, progress claims & certification.
- Ensure costs are correctly allocated to respective projects.
- Assist management in reviewing project profitability & cost variance.
- Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and ensure timely submission of SST (if applicable), Withholding Tax, CP204 / CP204A, Form C & E.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and LHDN when required.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Tax Planning & Advisory (Key Requirement)
- Advise management in advance on allowable expenses, tax-deductible items, capital allowance planning, timing of expenses & income recognition.
- Identify potential tax-saving opportunities from company operations.
- Review financial records before tax submission to ensure optimal tax position.
- Provide guidance to management before major payments or purchases that may impact tax exposure.
- Internal Control & Process Improvement
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
- Strengthen internal controls to minimise financial risk.
- Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and workflows.
