A manufacturing company is seeking an accountant to manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries. Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector, and possess strong communication skills in Mandarin and English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of ERP systems are advantageous.
Handle accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL) entries.
Process invoices, payment vouchers, journal entries, and monthly closing activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including fixed assets and supporting schedules.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
Prepare and submit monthly financial data and reports to Headquarters (HQ).
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Monitor and perform costing for Manufacturing Orders.
Assist in cost analysis and variance analysis related to production activities.
Support new product costing and pricing data preparation when required.
To attend to monthly physical stock take
Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and SOPs.
Prepare and submit Sales and Service Tax (SST) returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Support the implementation and maintenance of e-invoicing systems and ensure proper accounting treatment.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Provide support during external audits, tax audits, and statutory submissions.
Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities when required.
Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and assignments as assigned by management.
Qualification Required: Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Professional Accounting Certificates
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting
Experience in Manufacturing Industry is an added advantage.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office tools.
Knowledge in ERP system will be an added advantage
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills inMandarin & English, as the role requires communicating frequently with the China team
