Job summary

A prominent property development company in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a dedicated professional to manage day-to-day accounting operations. Responsibilities include handling all accounting functions, managing month-end closing activities, ensuring timely financial reporting, and monitoring financial activities. The ideal candidate will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintain internal controls. This is a vital role for ensuring the smooth running of financial operations within the office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day accounting functions / operations.
  • Manage month end closing activities including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist in submission of monthly management report.
  • Handle overall accounting functions.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Monitor petty cash and daily cash flow.
  • Prepare monthly reports including Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Organise and maintain office filing system.
  • Prepare quarterly, half yearly & yearly budget.
  • Handle treasury functions and monitor bank balance.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agent.
  • Prepare group monthly cash flow estimates.
  • Review transactions for correct entries in accounting system.
  • Ensure effective treasury management and internal controls.
  • Prepare cheque payments and banking.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day to day accounting functions / operations.
  • To manage various aspects of month end closing activities including timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • To assist in submission of monthly management report or any other reports.
  • To handle overall accounting functions.
  • To assist in overall smooth running of the office.
  • Handling accounts payable / accounts receivable.
  • Monitoring petty cash and updating daily cash flow position.
  • Preparing reconciliation of bank accounts & generating statement of accounts.
  • Preparing monthly reports – Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Collection Report, Debtors Ageing & Sinking Fund Statement.
  • Organising and maintaining proper office filing system.
  • Preparing quarterly, half yearly & yearly budget.
  • Handle treasury functions of company and monitor bank balance, placement/uplift of REPO, interest payment and repayment of loan.
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors and tax agent.
  • Prepare and update group monthly cash flow estimates.
  • Prepare estimate profit, estimate tax payable every 6th or 9th month of the financial year for supervisor’s review before submission to IRB.
  • Review all the transactions to be passed into the accounting system and ensure the entries are passed correctly.
  • Monitor and ensure the company working capital is well managed.
  • Conduct monthly accounts closing, prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Ensure effective treasury management, internal controls and credit control functions.
  • Preparing cheque payments and banking.
  • Handle day to day accounting operations of account payable, account receivable and general ledger function.
  • Prepare monthly report, bank reconciliation, balance sheet and profit & loss account.
  • Able to close monthly account in time.
  • To undertake any and all others duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the Management.
