Account & Admin Manager (SME Environment | Hybrid)
We are seeking a highly experienced and responsible Account & Admin Manager to oversee the full spectrum of accounting and administrative functions for our growing SME group of companies. Candidates with prior experience in the i-gaming, online entertainment, or digital gaming industry will be highly preferred.
This role offers Work From Home (WFH) flexibility and is best suited for candidates who are hands‑on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving SME environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on full set accounting experience, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates who can speak Mandarin are preferred, as the role requires frequent communication with Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders. This is a hybrid role open to candidates based anywhere in Malaysia, including Penang, Kuala Lumpur, or Johor.
This position requires a detail‑oriented, proactive, and reliable finance professional who can ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting in a lean, agile SME setup within the digital gaming space.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Set Accounting
- Handle full set accounts including AR, AP, GL, bank reconciliation, and month‑end closing.
- Record and update daily financial transactions accurately.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and management reports.
- Monitor daily cash flow, player fund movements, payment gateway transactions, and expense tracking.
- Review and verify all accounting entries, invoices, and claims.
- Handle multiple income channels, including marketing, affiliates, game providers, and advertising platforms.
- Taxation & Compliance
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company secretary.
- Ensure compliance with SST, tax submissions, statutory requirements, and internal company policies.
- Prepare tax documentation and ensure timely submission.
- Support documentation for cross‑border payments, digital advertising, affiliate commissions, and platform service fees.
- Payroll & HR-Related Accounting
- Process monthly payroll, staff payments, commissions, and incentives.
- Handle statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS).
- Process staff claims, allowances, and performance‑based payouts.
- Maintain accurate staff and commission records for accounting purposes.
- System, Administrative & Procurement Support
- Manage and maintain accounting systems (SQL / Autocount / other systems).
- Maintain daily tracking using Google Sheets for transactions, cash flow, and reporting purposes.
- Ensure proper filing, documentation, and secure digital record‑keeping.
- Support management in budget planning, cost control, profit analysis, and operational financial decisions.
- Assist in purchasing company items, including office supplies, equipment, software subscriptions, and operational necessities.
- Source quotations, compare pricing, manage purchase records, and coordinate with vendors/suppliers.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of full set accounting experience.
- i‑Gaming, online gaming, betting, digital entertainment, marketing agency, or SME environment experience is highly preferred.
- Experience handling multiple entities and high‑volume transactions is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in SQL, Autocount, or other accounting systems.
- Proficient in Google Sheets for daily transaction tracking and reporting.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a WFH / SME environment.
- Strong in confidentiality, financial accuracy, and compliance awareness.
- Good communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
