Aero Alliance is seeking an experienced and dedicated Plant Director to oversee shop operations at our Mesagne facility. This senior role involves leading the plant's operations, ensuring compliance with Italian safety and environmental regulations and driving continuous improvement. The Plant Director will report directly to the L5 Project Director. The role is not intended to be performed remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management: provide strategic leadership to guide the plant operations towards achieving operational excellence and high performance.
• Select, hire, train, develop and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned operation (hourly and salaried). Support the development of manufacturing operations leadership and technical talent and depth.
• Champion positive employee relations. Foster employee engagement and ensure that business and operational goals are effectively communicated to employees. Promote team morale, diversity, involvement/ownership, and skills development.
• Team Development: cultivate a high-performing team by mentoring, coaching, and fostering professional growth among staff.
• Performance Monitoring: establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success on Safety, Quality, Delivery and People and drive continuous improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing.
• Monitor and improve cost productivity, including inventory and P&E management.
• Cross-functional Facilitator: Work closely among departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: maintain effective communication with senior leadership, stakeholders and external partners to advance plant objectives.
• Safety Compliance: serve as the Site Safety Responsible (“Delegato del datore di lavoro”) under Italian law “Decreto legislativo n° 81/2008”, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a safe workplace for all employees.
• Environmental Compliance: become the Site Environmental Responsible (“Responsabile Ambientale”) under Italian law “Decreto legislativo n° 152/2006”, overseeing environmental management practices to ensure compliance with Italian regulations.
• Fire Safety Management: serve as the Firefighting Responsible (“Responsabile Antincendio”) under italian law “Decreto legislativo n° 81/2008” , managing firefighting protocols to ensure readiness and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience
• Significant proven experience in shop operations or plant management.
• Proven track record of driving cultural and operational change in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and develop strategic plans.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Fluency in Italian and English.

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience with aeroderivative turbines or related industries is considered a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve challenging goals.
