Piper Maddox are supporting the exciting expansion of a leading integrated energy solutions company that focus on biogas and solar projects.

They are looking for a Plant Manager to oversee the installation & production of a large Biogas plant in the South of Italy. The ideal profile has a strong background in the operations of biogas plants in Italy, with the ability to be based on-site in Apulia.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate team schedules, holidays, and basic performance feedback.
• Support daily plant operations and ensure processes run safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment performance, resolving minor issues or escalating as needed.
• Manage procurement activities and purchasing procedures.
• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance under supervision.
• Follow safety protocols and help maintain a safe working environment.

Key Requirements:

• 3–5 years’ experience in biogas plant operations with some team coordination.
• Basic understanding of anaerobic digestion and energy generation.
• Familiarity with mechanical/electrical systems and willingness to learn maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance.
• Team-focused mindset with initiative and reliability.
• Basic Excel and Outlook skills.
• English is an advantage.
