The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Chef de Rang. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Chef de Rang will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for F&B.

This is a seasonal, full-time contract role (40-hour working week). It offers an opportunity to work in a place of exceptional art and elegance, where history and culture meet Venetian style. It is a reference point for the world's elite at international city events such as the Biennale, Carnival, and the Venice Film Festival.

You will share your menu knowledge and expertise with guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience through warm greetings, flawless table settings, and friendly service. Your goal is to provide each guest with an exceptional experience that leaves a lasting impression.

• Welcome guests and attend to tables promptly
• Serve food and beverages, making recommendations as needed
• Assist guests with menu questions and special requests
• Record transactions accurately in the MICROS system
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and restock supplies
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding orders, allergies, and special requests
• Follow cycle time guidelines and standard operating procedures

• Legal right to work in Italy with a valid work permit (full-time role, 40 hours/week)
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Understanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitality
• Positive outlook, outgoing personality, and teamwork skills
• Experience in fine dining is advantageous
• Knowledge of Micros is preferred

This role requires physical ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance in a uniform. Safety training and certification will be required prior to employment.
