Tendering & Contract Engineer
Job summary
A reputable construction firm in Jakarta Utara is seeking a professional with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience in tendering and contract management. The ideal candidate will manage pre-contract and post-contract responsibilities, including preparing tender documents and administering contracts. Proficiency in English and familiarity with GCC and FIDIC is important for this role. Competitive package offered.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering and contract management.
- Familiarity with GCC, knowledge of FIDIC and UUJK is a plus.
- Deep understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
Responsibilities
- Preparing comprehensive tender documents including Scope of Work.
- Drafting final contract documents incorporating all negotiations.
- Managing Variations/Change Orders/Claims.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine/Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering and contract management, preferably in port, infrastructure, or construction projects.
Proven experience in tender processes and/or contract drafting.
Familiar with GCC (General Conditions of Contract); knowledge of FIDIC and UUJK is a plus.
Deep understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and conditions.
Profiency in English and Microsoft Office Suite
- Preparing comprehensive tender documents, including the Scope of Work, Technical Specifications, commercial requirements, and proposed contract terms and conditions (often based on FIDIC, UUJK, or similar standards).
- Supporting the pre-qualification process for potential bidders, including verification of the Company's legal documents.
- Facilitating all bidder inquiries and issuing formal clarifications/addenda (tender bulletins).
- Preparing the final recommendation for contract award.
- Drafting the final contract documents, incorporating all pre-award negotiations, clarifications, and qualifications.
- Managing the entire process for Variations/Change Orders/Claims.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all contractual issues.
