We are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is perfect for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional food experiences. You will support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, and driving operational excellence.
- Deliver high-quality food services daily, ensuring all menu items, cooking methods, and presentation meet company standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety, health & safety, and statutory regulations.
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, optimising manpower, motivating the team, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
- Support the Head Chef in menu planning, introducing new concepts, cost control, and achieving budgeted sales and profitability targets.
- Conduct and participate in daily briefings, departmental meetings, and training sessions to maintain team performance and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, supply chain requirements, and auditing standards, consistently achieving high performance and safety scores.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef, ideally in high-volume environments.
- B&I (Business & Industry) experience advantageous.
- City & Guilds Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
- Strong IT and communication skills.
- Experience in standards/compliance-driven environments.
- Demonstrated customer focus and service skills.
