Job summary
A leading scientific distributor based in the UK is seeking a motivated individual for a technical sales role. This position involves managing and expanding the existing customer base, performing product demonstrations, and collaborating with marketing teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Materials Science or Physical Science, excellent knowledge of Electron microscopy, and relevant sales experience. This role is home-based with regular travel to customer sites.

Location: Home office based in England
Salary: £45,000 -£60,000 base + Company Car / Car Allowance + £20,000 Commission
The company is a leading scientific distributor selling a broad range of instruments and consumables. Their technologies are integral to scientific research and industrial applications worldwide, serving a variety of fields.
- Responsible for managing and expanding the existing customer base in the region.
- Use technical skills to identify client needs and address any inquiries.
- Perform product demonstrations and organise events, attend tradeshows/conferences and other activities to showcase the company products.
- The position is home-based, preferably near the Midlands, with regular travel to customer sites (60%) and trade shows. Most of this is daily travel, but occasionally there will be overnight stays.
- Working closely with the Marketing and Service Engineer teams in the territory.
- Educated with a degree or further in Materials Science or Physical Science.
- Excellent technical knowledge of Electron microscopy is essential.
- Sales experience is required.
Valid driver's licence and fluent English are essential.
