Salary up to £37,000 plus 5% additional for outer London fringe

We are currently recruiting a Community based public health nurse whom will enhance the service we deliver to both children adults and families

You will plan, develop and implement programmes with a wide range of health concerns obtaining consent, referring children and young people to other departments/services as required, work integral to the wider MDT team, act as an advocate to children, identify, document and address any concerns in line with the varying codes of conduct, plan, prepare and execute interventions under safeguarding, attend annual adult and children’s safeguarding training and participate in supervision.

You will work autonomously and also as part of a wider MDT team which has been put in place to enhance the services which it offers to its wider patient population, you will be :-

• Plan, develop and implement programmes with a wide range of health concerns, obtaining consent, referring children and young people to other departments/services as required, and work integral to the wider MDT team.
• Act as an advocate to children, identify, document and address any concerns in line with the varying codes of conduct, plan, prepare and execute interventions under safeguarding, attend annual safeguarding training and participate in supervision.
• Work autonomously and as part of a wider MDT team to enhance the services offered to the wider patient population.

• A registered nurse with a public health qualification or have worked within the community
• You will be able to evidence ongoing CPD
• Have child protection at a level 3
• Advantageous to have a prescribing cert
• Knowledge of NHS policies within children’s services and Public health
• NB: we will consider a Midwife Public health nurse or a dual qualified nurse whom has worked within health visiting capacity
