A welcoming and inclusive SEND school in Shrewsbury is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and helping them thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs
  • Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of differentiated learning activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Adapting resources and strategies to meet individual pupil needs
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, youth work or similar settings)
  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and pupils
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
