Job Description:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive plan/strategy for the development of this service, collaborating with operational leadership.
- Generate effective leads and opportunities, ideally based on your existing network and book of business.
- Meet and exceed financial growth targets and expand DP World’s geographic and solutions footprint.
- Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers at all levels within a customer organization.
- Maintain understanding of customers’ expectations regarding operational solutions, costs, and results, and ideally anticipate some of their challenges.
- Understand the customer's business (strategically, operationally, financially), the buying process, and all influences, to understand their requirements deeply.
- Maintain CRM for an up-to-date pipeline of current and future opportunities, quantifying opportunities' number and value, and managing the probability of winning.
- Coordinate RFQs for new business opportunities and renewals, engaging with other functions as needed, and own the commercial relationship and contract negotiations. You serve as the internal face of the customer during bid phases.
- Follow internal commercial processes and procedures, fostering close cooperation between account management, G-KAM, other DP World services, operations, operational excellence, and support functions (IT, HR, Finance).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical or commercial credentials from a university/college or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in account management, including use of pricing templates, cost databases, and supporting tools.
- Understanding of production and logistics processes and their costs.
- Fluent in English and a local language.
- Ability to empathize with clients and understand their needs, acting as their champion within DP World.
- Ability to interpret data and draw solid conclusions from analysis.
- Ability to create structure and organization in a fast-paced environment.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 10 years in a similar role with an extensive network of contacts in the industry.
- Excellent knowledge of logistics across road, rail, air, ocean, and contract logistics.
