We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery of a high-profile £90 million refurbishment and laboratories project in Norwich. This is a rare opportunity to join a specialist fit-out and interiors team delivering a technically complex scheme in a live environment.
About the Project:

This flagship scheme involves the full refurbishment of an existing structure to create state-of-the-art laboratory and research spaces. With multiple phases and intricate stakeholder management, the project requires a commercially astute leader with a strong track record in complex, high-value refurbishments.

• Full commercial oversight of the project, reporting into the regional Commercial Director
• Management of the cost plan, procurement strategy, and contract administration
• Leading subcontract procurement and negotiation across all key packages
• Risk management and change control, ensuring robust commercial reporting
• Team leadership, mentoring junior commercial staff and ensuring quality delivery
• Liaison with the client and professional team to maintain strong working relationships

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS on major refurbishment or lab/healthcare/technical projects
• Excellent understanding of JCT contracts and procurement best practices
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills
• A proactive mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (MRICS desirable)

• Salary up to £90,000 per annum, depending on experience
