About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences all aspects of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to them.
Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to ensure personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Your tasks may involve assisting with mobility, end-of-life care, or communicating with families, always with kindness.
You'll support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administering medication.
A key responsibility is maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be willing to work towards Level 3 or equivalent. A background in person-centered care planning and dementia care knowledge is preferred. What's essential is your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, effective time management, and a considerate, kind communication style.
