Job description

We are seeking a dedicated NMC registered nurse in the North Yorkshire area to join our healthcare team. The Clinical Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care and administering a range of medications. This role needs a compassionate individual who has excellent communication skills and is committed to putting the patient first.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient observations and ensure that any patient is fit to proceed with their treatment
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team
  • Provide compassionate support to the patient and family
  • Educate patients and their families to promote understanding and independence
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams ensuring that patient safety is paramount
Requirements
  • Current NMC registration
  • Experience of administering S/C, IM or IV medications
  • SACT experience
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Willingness to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail, strong cannulation/phlebotomy skills, and experience in standard and complex infusion therapies. Chemotherapy experience would be advantageous

  • Salary £36,646 to £38,000 (depending on experience)
