We are a busy Acute Assessment Unit working between 2 areas within the Hospital. Staff move daily between areas and are involved in the admission of around 35-40 patients per day.

It is a fast paced environment but highly rewarding. Training will be given once in post.

• Greeting patients and bringing them to their bed space
• Hydration and nutrition of the patient
• Working closely with the qualified staff to ensure a safe discharge
• Ensuring daily/weekly safety checks are completed
• Checking stock as required
• Potential for progression to Band 3 after a year of employment

• NVQ or Apprenticeship qualification at Level 2 or above in Care or equivalent. If attained a level 2 must be willing to work towards a level 3 Apprenticeship once started in the Trust

• Previous relevant experience
• Good communication skills
• Care Certificate

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Evidence of Numerical & Verbal reasoning.

• Basic computer literacy

• Experience of working within a team/team environment.
• Experience of working in health care setting with a range of client groups.

• Experience of working in NHS.
