We are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers for a client in Preston, Lancashire. There are multiple positions available with a salary range of £25,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, plus a 5% bonus, overtime, and other benefits. The roles are full-time and permanent.

The company is an expanding heavy metal engineering firm with plans for a new manufacturing site and significant growth over the next three years. These positions involve project-based mechanical design work, from concept to manufacturing, primarily using SolidWorks. Responsibilities include designing with minimal waste and maximum efficiency, and preparing Bills of Materials.

Essential criteria:

• At least 1 year of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering with similar products
• Proficiency in 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Pro Engineer/Creo, SolidEdge, or Inventor
• A relevant engineering qualification is preferred but relevant experience is also considered
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
