Job description

Collaborating closely with AIT, systems, electronics, and external partners, our mechanical engineers ensure every structure is precise, manufacturable, and ready for the demands of space - from cleanroom build to launch. What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading mechanical design activities across satellites, subsystems, and ground support equipment (GSE)
  • Producing models, assemblies, and drawings using CAD tools
  • Applying GD&T standards (ISO 1101, 2692 & 5458 or ASME Y14.5) to ensure precision and manufacturability
  • Collaborating with suppliers, customers, and project teams to ensure successful outcomes
  • Supporting satellite assembly and testing alongside our AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) team
  • Authoring technical documents producing high-quality documentation including test and analysis reports
  • Working hands-on in our cleanrooms and labs as needed, with flexible remote working when possible.
  • A solid background in mechanical design and manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and confident file management
  • Ability to provide hands-on involvement in cleanroom assembly and testing environments
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and collaborate effectively to deliver results

Working across satellite platforms, subsystems, and ground support equipment, the team combines rigorous mechanical design with hands-on assembly and testing.
