Salary: Competitive
The successful candidate will provide high quality secretarial and administrative assistance to Fee Earners, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department. The role will include providing secretarial support to family law Fee Earners, audio and copy typing of correspondence, court documents and legal forms, managing diaries, appointments and court deadlines, preparing and bundling documents for court hearings, opening, maintaining and closing client files in line with compliance requirements, liaising with clients, courts and third parties in a professional and confidential manner and assisting with general administrative tasks to support the wider team.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a legal secretary, ideally within a family law department. You will demonstrate strong audio typing and IT skills, be well organised with excellent attention to detail, have a professional and empathetic manner when dealing with clients, be able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines and be reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team. Experience with case management systems and knowledge of family court procedures would be advantageous but is not essential.
